Is there a time limit to transfer a H1-B visa ? If the previous company revokes the H1-B visa how long do we have or is the H1-B canceled at that point ? Please let me know at your earliest.

Government officials as well as immigration lawyers have been implicated in several recent corruption cases. You can claim UI... I used the benefit earlier and the UI office was very helpful. It is insurance and a public burden. It would not be held against you in AOS adjustment. But again, I am not a lawyer so my opinion is strictly mine and should not be considered as legal opinion.....

I don't know about legal risks but health-wise that sounds quite risky.

If every one thinks like you, how in the world would drugs be developed to cure the diseases? :D :) Note that before any drugs gets to the stage of human subjects research, it would have completed several trials to ensure that its safe. Adverse events may happen during the trial but in recent studies, not many.
Generally, there will be an orientation and screening before enrollments, you will get all the information at that stage and you may choose not to enroll or if you have any particular condition identified during screening, you will not even be enrolled.
Risks are very minimum. Good luck.

Attorneys sometimes do not provide case number because they do not want you to be calling BEC for to inquire your case. Try convincing your employer you will use it only for online status check and hopefully they will give it to you.

Best bet would be to talk to the Office of International Students in the university.
go with OPT and then when thats almost over.. then you can switch to EAD.../find alternatives

I dont know what to do now. It seems that all our efforts are worthless. It seems that regardsless of what we do, the Senators have made up their minds about this bills. I think that anti immigration forces are way too stronger for us to tackle.......

Can anybody help me out with regards to what documents need to be sent to the canadian embassy in newyork for a TRV (visitiors visa)?
Any one with any insight on how long does it take to get it back?
70 US$ for single entry
135 for multiple entry.
Request letter (i asked for visitor visa to meet friend)
Filled in form.
Employment letter from employer (I didnt send. they called and asked me to fax that)
Postage paid envelope for them to mail the passport back to you.
Proof of funds (bank statement copy) for the stay.
Its there in web page.

I am an Indian national currently in the AOS-pending state. My wife & I are looking to adopt a child either from India/US or a different country. From what I have found out, this seems to be a herculean task. Is this even possible? Has anyone successfully completed this process, or know of the details/steps involved. with struggling economy and jobs, less and less Americans are supporting any kind of immigration. Legal, or Illegal, they dont care. No one, I mean no one will support us in a way that can be heard by media and the people in high seats. This is our battle and we must fight it alone. My lawyer sent my wife EAD renewal papers to VSC.
Our cases at at TSC presently. I asked him to sent it to TSC but he said since the original EAD / AP were approved by VSC the renewal has to also go to VSC.
I am not sure what is going to happen. I have not seen my cheques cashed nor have received the package back?
FedEx trackinh number says it was received at VSC on July 10.
Can anybody shed some light whats going to happen next ?????

My 485 was filed at CSC and later transferred to NSC (WAC receipt). My PD is Jan 2005. Still waiting..
I talked to IO using POJ method yesterday.The IO told me that receipts starting WAC will be processed according to CSC processing time which is at May 2006 for 485 currently! Does anybody know if this is really true or just that one IO not knowing what he was talking about? I know someone has raised this issue on some other thread earlier but till yesterday I did not personally hear this reply. I had called USCIS couple of times before and they all told me USCIS will process my application as per NSC processing time and as per my RD (not ND) till yesterday!
