Unless it's been stored in a refrigerator, the battery's likely dead (as in DEAD), too.

Agreed.
When working with multiple formats, it's advisable to conform everything to one codec. If I were you, I'd transcode everything to the lowest denominator (in your case, standard-def at 4:3 or 16:9 aspect, depending on your delivery needs) and use a good intermediate codec like ProRes 422.
Doing that would eliminate the need to render the timeline constantly and deal with frame scaling from multiple formats of video sitting in the same sequence.

I opted to get the 4GB version, but waited until the refurb was available (they go quickly so check often and jump when it's in stock). I got it for $929 from apple. I would recommend a plastic case/sleeve/keyboard cover from ebay as they are less than $30 shipped and add very little as far as bulk/weight, but do a nice job of keeping the unit scratch-free and protected (not from drops, of course)

here's a list of the DVD drives I'd recommend. The top 2 are DVD ROM's and the second 2 are DVD burners. For the air I doubt you'd need a burner but for $10 more why not? The cables they come with have a mini USB (plugs into drive) and 2 standard USB cables, but you only need to connect one of them in order to use the drive (the one with 2 cables coming out of it, you'll understand once you look at it)

Apple today released Canon Printer Drivers 2.3 for Mac OS X v10.6 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL899), an updated package of drivers for users of Mac OS X Snow Leopard and Canon printers and multifunction devices.
The update weighs in at 281.16 MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6.1 or later. Full details of driver support for various Canon devices are available in Apple's associated support document (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#canon).
Update: While Apple's download page still lists the version as 2.2, the actual download indicates that 2.3 is now the latest version of the Canon drivers.
Update 2: Apple has corrected the download page to refer to the proper version (2.3) of the drivers.

I kind of like the look but the idea of a pro doesn't really sit well with me...unless they keep the pro at the current price and have a cheaper version.

That white one does look great, and so thin hard to believe that it will be able to do so much in such a thin case. Either way I have a feeling we will be surprise when it comes out.
Like to see more interface changes than hardware.

Does around 400-450 for a ~700mhz G3 with Airport sound about right? I'm not looking at a particular auction, but as a general guide.
That's too much for a G3. You might as well get an iBook G4 or even a refurb model from the Apple Store if you're prepared to pay that much. The US refurb store currently has 12" iBook G4 1.2 Ghz with CD-ROM for $699.

As mentioned on previous post, you need to have your SHSHs saved if you want to installed anything else than the current firmware released by Apple, (currently 4.3). The windows where Apple was signing those SHSHs for 4.2.1 have already been closed (so unless somehow you got your SHSHs saved by tiny Umbrella or Cydia before) your only option is to upgrade to 4.3 or wait out for a Jailbreak tool.
Jailbreak tools don't help restore to earlier firmware. It's more the other way around -- people save SHSHs in case a jailbreak method requires a downgrade to earlier firmware. If you didn't save the SHSH, there's no way to downgrade, now or ever.

Nice ID there OP .. IwantItToo :p
Do you game a lot? If you dont, you better get off with base 21.5 or base 27 for screen estate
Truly, gaming is an expensive hobby. Be thankful if you hate video games, since you wont care about how many FPS you can get from your screen
My score? No doubt 11 .. oops i mean 10
I agree with you too. Gaming is pretty good if you run bootcamp. But, I would still suggest base 21.5" or go all out with the maxed 27"! :)

You are quite mistake, this second preview is near feature complete. It needs some polishing, but for the most part it's nearly ready to be shipped.
It was quite buggy after using it today for a while. Crashing, beach balls, slow, lots of UI bugs, missing features, etc. No where near the quality of Xcode 3.

Really? We still use it (just for fun). There's some neat programs on it, etc. The printer still works, too. :)
you asked ... how much will it be worth one day?
my answer still stands ... it is not rare or anything special ... sorry, not looking to offend.
Now if it was brand new ... originally sealed in a box ... maybe

Caution: the new Calendar requires iOS 4 on the iPhone.

I'd suggest that you add some screenshots at every step, at least it'll be easier to follow and gives people reassurance that they're on the right track.
