So what you are saying is i can have 2 H1-b's only if both the jobs are part time. If any one of the two is full time, then it would be illegal. But here's the question. If i file for a 2nd H1-B, the INS should reject my 2nd H1-B request as i already have a full time job on my 1st H1-B. I guess this would be the only way to find out, since no one is sure what the law is.Is there some kind of INS documented law or statements to confirm this??

I was in a consulting field with employer taking 30% and me getting 70%.
He supposed to deduct $400 for medical insurance from my paycheck -biweekly, instead deduction was only $200. I never knew that.
My question is why not he acted immediately after knowing the error?
Why should I pay for somebody's mistake?
Am I going to get any tax benefit now?
Why not he deducted single penny in last 2 months before I left?
I didn't sign any paper to pay him back over a period neither did he come up with any plan.
All this proves that he agreed to waive off while I was working for him.
In my view, it is his mistake. I am seriously think that he is lieing to you. First of all, deduction 400$ biweekly is too much. You didn't specified if you have any dependents. If you are single, then he is really lieing to you. I say just file a complaint with DOL in your home state.

My strong advice is stay on H1 always. EAD is like a piece of gold plated card. There are many risks associated with it, for example if u r renewal is not done on time, you are nailed, u cannot collect pay, or else it is considered against the law. I am not trying to scare anyone, this is the ground reality.

Cuba isn't the only communist nation.
The special favorable treatment to Cubans is stemming from political needs than any lobbying. US wants to oppose the last remaining communist Government in Cuba and attract its citizens to establish a democratic government there. Please do not feel jealous of these special treatments.
To get a favorable treatement for Indians, wish for a communist revolution in India too. Then most of us would get the Greencard under Asylum quota or anti-communist quota. :D

Company A has variety of legal problems with USCIS..not paying for people on bench and due to that my H1-B extension got affected and denied..it is a long list of 12 page denial..already filed ac21 with the other company..
You are fine as long as your I-140 with Company A is approved. Forget about the H-1B as the denial happened after you applied for adjustment of status. Also advise you not to reply to the 140 query regarding the substitution labor. Allow it to get denied. Yes your priority date will be Nov 2006 but atleast you are sure that you will get your GC eventually (provided you have maintained proper status from now until then). Use your AC21 to a stable company and live peacefully. Just remember to draw more than the promised wages on the labor of Company A until you get your GC.

My close friends got GC and now sucking people with H1s , after just registering LLC with state secretary by paying 100$ reg fees and filing few H1s with INS

My employer recd an RFE on Jan 8. The Requested Evidence is supposed to be provided in 12 weeks from the date of the RFE letter(Jan 8).
I am told that my attorny didn't respond to this RFE. Is it 84 days which means till April 2nd is the deadline when it is supposed to be answered. If that is the case I crossed the deadline by a day or two.
Can you experienced folks let me know if I crossed the deadline. Is there still a room to answer the ability to pay RFE?
my employer said he would answer RFE (ability to pay) if some financial adjustments are made. Is it ok and make this financial adjustment so that he can responde to the RFE inspite of the 12 week deadline just passed.
Will a delayed response for RFE for couple of days at USCIS does matter? Will they reject the evidence if they dont recieve in time?
Is it better to wait till the I140 is denied and then open an MTR? How easy and practical is it to open an MTR and successfully plead for the I140 approval?
Your early response helps me take a decision.

As long as you are employed, and company is paying you decent salary (atleast salary mentioned on the L/C) you are fine, you must be employed at time of RFE/NOID etc..
To be more accurate, there should be a bonafide offer of employment at the time of RFE/NOID. It can be an offer to start at a later date (as late as GC approval) and does not have to be current.

Good point. I am just studying the trade off between "career" and "likability" of job or the job you love. I agree with you about money. I am not just for money or I do not want to be in rat race. (If money is the only goal we all can do real estate bussiness in India) After spending 10 years in engineering, I want to change the field. Even I am ready to go with little less than what I make now. . The main reason is I want to have just relaxing job, not much stress. At the same time it should be a longterm. I thought QA may be one of the field. I do not know yet it is a right thought.
IF you are not in for money there are many stress less jobs than the ones you asked about. You can have stressful job in any field and same is true for the opposite. I know a lot many in engineering that have stress free jobs. Not sure what made you thinking that being SAP consultant is stress free.
If you like teaching and don't have any criminal back ground consider teaching little kids. Most pleasant I can imagine. Work in post office.....VERY QUITE.....

I am planning to change my apartment next week. Its same city same zip code just different apartment complex (got a better deal). I am working the same job, same profile no changes since filing my 485 in Aug 2007. I also received a RFE in July 2008 (at that time my PD was current) it was for BC for which I had submitted an affidavit from my parents since the original was in local language. For the RFE I did an notarized translation of the doc and submitted it. They had also asked for updated EVL with supporting paystubs W2. I sent that and the application has been pending since.
The question I have is will this address change trigger another RFE?. Does any one have any such experience?

Did not want to create any sensational news, but this is what I gathered from speaking to an IO. I had applied for my EAD on Jan 25th and havent received any updates. So, I called the NSC customer service and an IO informed me that I need to check back with them in another 60 days if no decision is made by that time. When I said that it would be 6 months by that time, the IO said that "that's right. Each IO has about 500 applications on their desk and it will take some time to clear these off"
Just wanted to update everyone so that all the June/July filers can file appropriately.
Again, mine could be an isolated case. So, please dont panic::))
